Luxury Hotel Brand Offers Unique Package Featuring Authentic Spanish Cooking Class
IRVING, Texas (October 9, 2006) -- Spain has reached the American shores once again as Omni Hotels announces their newest package, “Discover Spain.” Beginning November 18th, guests can experience Spanish culture first-hand with the “Discover Spain” package, which includes overnight luxury accommodations, a Spanish cooking class with a specially-trained Omni executive chef and a gift bag of delicious Spanish treats.
This package is part of Omni Hotels’ most recent Flavors of the World campaign, the Festive Flavors of Spain. In June, approximately 50 of Omni’s executive chefs and food and beverage professionals visited the Castilla y Leon region of Spain to learn the traditions of Spanish cooking first-hand. The Festive Flavors of Spain was arranged as a one-of-a kind partnership with EXCAL, the Spanish Trade Commission of the Castilla y Leon region of Spain and is the fourth installment of Omni Hotels unique Flavors of the World program, designed to teach its chefs about various world cuisines and bring fantastic culinary adventures to its guests. From November 1, 2006 through January 31, 2007, Omni Hotels will spotlight authentic Spanish menu items in its bars and restaurants across North America.
As part of the Discover Spain package, guests will have the chance to be further immersed in the culinary traditions of Spain. Just a few of the Spanish tastes include wines from Ribera del Duero, Toro, Bierzo, Rueda and Cigales and cheeses from the Castilla y Leon region. Guests will also learn about the preparations of dishes such as Pato Asado con Higos (Roasted Duck with Figs) and Bacalao a la Plancha con Verduras Asadas y Vinagreta de Piñones Ibéricos (Pan Seared Cod with Roasted Vegetables and Iberico Pine Nut Vinaigrette).
