Omni Amelia Island Plantation Golf Academy
The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Golf Academy, directed by Ed Bowe, is located at the prestigious Long Point Golf Course. Nestled between ancient live oaks, the school overlooks its own private driving range and practice green.
The program is developmental as well as corrective. We will help you correct your swing flaws. More importantly, you will be able to self-correct by understanding how your swing causes certain ball flights. We will assist you in developing practice and play habits that will serve you well for the rest of your golfing career.
Our instruction is individual. This individual coaching means that each person will receive lessons tailored to his or her own individual needs. Each student will have a set of rules and guidelines for the individual's golf game.
Under the leadership of Ed Bowe, the Academy has reached new levels of professionalism and teaching insight. Ed is an instructor whose experience includes several years with Hank Haney, the coach for Tiger Woods, as well as being the previous director of instructor training for the ESPN Golf Schools. He has been at the resort, teaching guests and Club members alike since 2007. His head assistant, Kevin Lindsey, has adopted Ed’s methods of teaching with the same remarkable results for the golf academy clients.
Academy Rates
Includes on-course instruction with an Omni AIP Pro; student notebook and journal, take home video CD with individual lesson plan and pro tips; lunch; afternoon greens fees and equipment assessment. Student/teacher ratio is 4:1.
