After my wedding reception is booked, what is next…?
Now is the time for you to begin booking the other vendors for your wedding day! Our Catering Manager will be in touch with you in the next few weeks or months to begin firming up your menu and other specific details for your big day. This is the perfect time for us to set up a time to have your tasting.
What overnight accommodations are available for my guests…?
The Catering Manager can set up a “Wedding Room Block” for your guests. All rates are seasonal and based on the availability of the hotel. The amount of group rooms given and rates are all based on availability.
Can I provide gift bags to guests staying at the hotel…?
Yes! Please make an appointment with the Catering Manager and bring gift bags to the hotel a few days prior to your guest’s arrival date along with any other materials the hotel will store. We will be happy to deliver the gift bags to each room.
If you are having your wedding reception with us, there is a $2.00 charge per bag for delivery to each room.
What is the payment policy?
- Upon the signing of the contract, 10% of the total amount is due.
- Eight weeks prior to the event, an additional 50% of your total amount is due.
- Lastly, ten days prior to your event your estimated total must be paid in full.
Is there a Room Rental Charge…?
The Omni Charlotte Hotel does not have a room rental charge.
Is there a Food & Beverage Minimum…?
Please speak with the Catering Manager regarding the Food & Beverage minimum.
Do I bring my own cake, flowers, and entertainment?
Yes! Our Catering Manager will provide you with a preferred vendor’s list to help you with the remainder of your planning.
What are the additional charges?
- All banquet charges are subject to a taxable service charge of 22%, as well as a local tax of 8.25% and a 1% prepared food tax.
- A bartender fee of $100 (one bartender per 75 guests)
- If the food & beverage minimum is not met, a room rental charge will apply.
Can we bring our own food or alcohol?
Outside food and beverages are not permitted. However, a bakery may provide your wedding cake, and all attempts will be made to assist with any specialty food and/or dietary concerns.
What will be the parking charge for my guests?
Parking for overnight guests is $15/Self Parking and $22/Valet Parking. However, parking for Reception attendees not staying overnight will be charged standard parking rates which can range from $10 - $20 depending upon date and time of event. Parking rates are subject to change.
Do you have children’s or vendor meals available? What is the price?
Yes! The children’s meal includes chicken tenders, french fries, and fresh fruit cup at $19.95 per child 12 to three years old. Children two and under eat free. Vendor Meals include a boxed sandwich, chips and dessert for $19.95 per meal.
Additional Information for you to know…
- Our Catering Manager will be with you the night of the event through cake cutting to make sure everything is running smoothly.
- All Food & Beverage items served at your event must be provided, catered and served by the Omni Charlotte Hotel, with exception of the wedding cake.
- Events are typically five hours in length; however, all events must end by 1:00 a.m.
