We are happy to announce a complete resort renovation project so spectacular, we call it The Re-Imagination of the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort! This incredible $85 million renovation broke ground in November 2011 and will continue until Spring 2013. Throughout the duration of this renovation, the hotel/resort pool and beach club will be closed; however, access to other pools on the property is still available along with a myriad of other special activities to enjoy!
This re-imagination marks an exciting new chapter in the resort's 40-year heritage and is currently underway to bring our guests a destination experience unparalleled in Florida. When completed in the Spring of 2013, a new vision of luxury will offer 155 additional ocean front rooms and suites just steps away from the Atlantic Ocean. Also part of our re-imagination will be the addition of 30,000 square feet of state-of-the-art flexible meeting space, increasing the total meeting space at the resort to 80,000 square feet! The new lobby with floor-to-ceiling ocean views will provide quicker and easier check-in to both hotel guests and villa guests from our sister property The Villas of Amelia Island , along with a relaxing new ocean view bar and outdoor deck. The real jewel of this expansive resort re-imagination will feature a custom infinity edge adult pool just off the lobby cascading down to the splash-friendly family pool with two nearby hot tubs, a poolside bar and expanded new dining options -- all with ocean views!
