The Mini Cascades Miniature Golf Course is The Omni Homestead Resort's newest family-friendly attraction. This challenging activity features 18 holes inspired by our famous Cascades Course.

An endless array of games and activities await guests of all ages at The Omni Homestead Resort. Challenge the family to a classic lawn game tournament, from badminton and lawn croquet to volleyball and corn hole.

Our stables house approximately 50 horses. Ride a trail through the wooded forest. Breathe the clean mountain air. Soak up the beauty of the Alleghenies. And come away refreshed.

Don’t miss one of the most popular activities at The Omni Homestead Resort. On this tour, you’ll be led and entertained by a naturalist through a series of beautiful waterfalls alongside a deep, Allegheny Mountain gorge trail. Learn about regional and unusual flora and fauna in this semi-tropical environment and the medicinal and edible properties of the many local plants. It’s a two-mile journey and one of the most beautiful in the region.

Along wooded trails through the tranquil countryside of Virginia, romantic getaways take an inspired turn in an enchanting horse-drawn carriage. The Omni Homestead Resort’s equestrian center can arrange private tours of the Virginia landscape with carriage rides just for two or for up to five passengers. Rides follow the resort’s secluded wooded trail.

Fun for the whole family, our hayrides drive along private trails to a destination campfire where you can make and enjoy s’mores and togetherness. Available year-round, weather permitting, with seasonal themed Virginia hayrides for Christmas and Halloween.

Personalized instruction and video presentation will assist you to learn how to tour The Omni Homestead Resort's wooded trails on a Segway while breathing the fresh mountain air and listening to the sounds of nature.

Would you rather paddle the Jackson River by canoe or explore it by kayak? Or, spend the day paddleboarding on scenic Lake Moomaw. Either way, you can rent a suitable watercraft right on property at The Omni Homestead Resort.

Our wooded course, complete with Tippman and GV semi-automatic rental markers, is unique. Gather a group of friends and give it a go.

There’s a reason our resort is home to southwest Virginia’s choice archery range for recreational bowmen. Its eight stationary targets are set at varying distances for adults and children and a wide selection of bows accommodate right- and left-handed archers, both adult and youth. Field archers will appreciate our 10-station 3D Archery Range that makes the most of The Omni Homestead Resort’s Virginia countryside setting. Try your hand at bow and arrow shooting – our range opens each year starting in April.

Falcon hunting has a long-standing reputation for being the sport of kings. And here in the Virginia countryside, it still is. Guests of The Omni Homestead Resort can participate in a field sports tradition that stretches back nearly 400 years. Learn the fine points of the sport with trained birds of prey – including falcons, hawks and owls – at The Omni Homestead Resort's Mews, a world-class Virginia falconry facility.

The Omni Homestead Resort is located in one of the country’s most scenic settings. That’s good enough reason to take advantage of the 100 miles of hiking and biking trails all within steps of the resort. To explore, just rent a mountain bike and head out on biking trails ranging from intermediate to extreme. Our easiest trail is 3.5 miles and takes an average of 75 minutes to complete. 

Mountain bikes are available for rental in the lower level of the mountain lodge at the ski area. Helmets are provided and required on Omni Homestead Resort property. All bikes – from front suspension mountain bikes to children’s bikes – are available for rental on a first come, first served basis.
