Guest Room Accommodations
Will we get a room at the hotel on our wedding night?
The Omni Royal Orleans provides a complimentary Honeymoon suite on your wedding night (guest count of 100 and above) complete with breakfast for two through room service the next morning.
Are room blocks available for my guests at a discounted rate?
The hotel is a very popular weekend destination, and because we are sometimes fully booked each weekend of the year, we highly recommend sending a save the date card or letter to your guests to reserve their preferred choice of accommodations. The hotel will attempt to provide a quantity of rooms, based on availability, at a preferred rate for your immediate family. Depending on the time of year and size of your event, additional rooms can be provided to your invited guests at this preferred rate. Your Sales and Catering Managers can provide you with availability and rates.
How do my guests reserve a room?
Rates and availability on an individual basis can be obtained from our reservation department, by calling 800-834-6444.
Parking
Is parking available for my guests?
The hotel's valet parking garage is the largest parking facility in the French Quarter. It is provided for all events on a space available basis. Please consult with your Catering manager for parking rates.
Decorations
Can I bring my own decorations?
Decorations or displays brought into the hotel must be approved prior to arrival. All decorations and displays must be in compliance with the Building and Fire codes for the city of New Orleans. In order to prevent damage to the facility, fixtures and furnishings, items may not be attached to any stationary wall, floor, window or ceiling with nails, tape, staples or any other substance.
Lighting and Audio Visual Equipment
Do you provide audiovisual equipment?
A full range of audio/visual equipment is available through our on site audio/visual company, Presentation Services. Please contact Presentation Services through the hotel operator for a brochure with prices.
Attendance
When do I need to notify the hotel with the number of guests attending?
It is necessary that the catering office be notified the exact number of guests attending a function at least 72 working hours prior to the event. Due to the neccesity of advance ordering to be prepared for your guests, this will be considered the guarantee for which you will be charged, even if fewer guests attend.
Staffing
Can I request extra staffing for my event?
Service staff is provided for all events based on the details of the event and number of guests. Additional staffing beyond our normal levels , it can be provided for a fee of $75 per attendant based on a three (3) hour event.
Food & Beverage
Can we bring our own food or alcohol?
The hotel must provide all food and beverage items, however we will be happy to special order any food or beverage item not included in our usual range of offerings. Special order items must be purchased by the case, and the quantity you would like to purchase must be agreed upon in advance. Special orders are charged on quantities purchased, not consumption.
Can we make changes to our menu selections?
Changes to the menu for your event, as specified on your Banquet Event Order, may not be made in the final 72 business hours preceding your event. Dietary substitutions are available upon request.
