Reception

Q. How long will we have for our reception?

A. Events are typically four hours in length; however, if you do wish to extend the time there will be no additional charge. All events must end by 1:00 a.m.

Guest Room Accommodations

Q. Will we get a room at the hotel on our wedding night?

A. One complimentary Junior Suite will be provided for the bride and groom the night of your wedding along with a bottle of Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

Q. Are room blocks available for my guests at a discounted rate?

A. Yes. Our wedding consultant can set-up a "Wedding Room Block" for your guests. All rates are seasonal and based on availability at the hotel. The number of group rooms given and rates are all based upon availability.

Q. How do my guests reserve a room?

A. Once a block of rooms has been reserved, guests can call the hotel directly at (704) 377-0400 or by calling 1-800-THE OMNI.

Q. Can the front desk distribute my gift bags upon my guest's check-in?

A. Yes. Please bring gift bags to hotel a few days prior to your guest's arrival date. If you are having your wedding reception with us, there is no fee if the gift bags are given out upon check-in. However, if you do want the gift bags delivered to each room there is a $4.00 charge per room.

Parking

Q. Is parking available for my guests?

A. A discounted rate of $6.00 will be extended to guests attending your reception. Guests staying overnight at the hotel will receive a special all day rate of $8.00 per day.

Decorations

Q. Do I bring my own cake, flowers and entertainment?

A. Yes, our wedding consultant will provide you with a Preferred Vendors list to help you with your planning.

Audio-Visual Equipment

Q. Do you provide audio-visual equipment?

A. Although we do not provide audio-visual equipment, we do have an AV Company located on site. Our wedding consultant can assist you in making these arrangements.

Attendance

Q. When do I need to notify the hotel with the number of guests attending?

A. The final guaranteed count is required 72 hours in advance.

Staffing

Q. Will the wedding consultant be available the night of my event?

A. Our wedding consultant will be with you the night of the event through the cake cutting to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Q. Can I request extra staffing for my event?

A. Yes, however, please note, there is an additional charge.

Food & Beverage

Q. Can we bring our own food or alcohol?

A. Unfortunately we are not able to allow you to bring food or alcohol into our public space. All food and beverage items served at your event must be provided by, catered by and served by the hotel, with exception of the wedding cake.

Q. Can we make changes to our menu selections?

A. Our wedding consultant looks forward to working with you to customize a menu with you specially for your wedding.

Q. Do you have children's meals available?

A. Yes. The children's meal includes chicken tenders, French fries and a fresh fruit cup at $19.95 per child 4 - 12 years old. Children 3 and under eat free.

Payment

Q. What is the payment policy?

A. Upon the signing of the contract, 10% of the total amount is due. Sixty days prior to the event, an additional 50% of your total amount is due. Lastly, ten days prior to the event the final amount is due. All payments must be made in cash, cashier's check, or personal check.

Q. Is there a room rental charge or food and beverage minimum?

A. The Omni Charlotte Hotel does not have a room rental charge. Please with our Wedding Consultant regarding the minimum charge for use of the ballroom.

What's Next

Q. After my Wedding reception is booked, what is next?

A. Now is the time for you to begin booking other vendors for your wedding day. Our wedding consultant will be in touch with you in the next few weeks or months to begin firming up your menu and other specific details for your big day. Remember, sixty days prior to your event, an additional 50% of the final amount is due. This is the perfect time for us to set up a time to have your tasting.
