With golf season upon us again, the 2017 Tucson Conquistadores Classic returns to the breathtaking Catalina Course at the Omni Tucson National Resort March 15-19, 2017. The tournament was held at the course from 1965-2006, and then returned to the Catalina Course in 2015 when Mark Dawson took home his first Champions Tour title and sacred Conquistadores helmet.

Tucson, the sunniest city in the United States, is home to some of the country’s most stunning golf courses, and with 350+ days of sunshine a year, is every golfer’s dream destination. Because The Omni National Tucson National was the first golf resort to open in Tucson, the course has a long history of legends like Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus who mesmerized crowds here.
This year’s Champions Tour will include three days of competition (Friday-Sunday), with players also participating in Pro-Am events March 15th and 16th. Golf enthusiasts who take part in these limited packages will play alongside Hall of Famers, major champions, and tour favorites as they gear up for the PGA tour event. Tucson National is a walking course, which sets the Tucson Conquistadores Classic apart from most PGA tournaments. Since carts are not permitted, the spectators will get to walk with the professionals throughout the whole weekend.
Some of the different package offerings include a two night stay at the Omni Tucson National, spectator passes, VIP suite and lounge access, and much more. One lucky Pro-Am player will even win a 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 just for participating in the event. That being said, for those wanting to get a head start and taste of the greens that will be played on, check out last year’s run down of each hole.
The Omni Tucson National Resort welcomes back players and fans alike for a memorable week!
