Local Highland County writer Annette Naber is a retired psychologist who now helps others reconnect to nature through forest bathing, foraging classes, and retreats. She will read from her book Seasons of a Wild Life, which shares her lessons from the plants and wildlife on her farm in the Virginia Highlands, interspersed with nature deities, animal symbology and seasonal festivities from cultures around the world.

Bells Of Peace Meditation Concert R | $

If you desire a moment of peace and relaxation you might stop into Theater 1923 and take in some of the Bells of Peace meditation concert facilitated by Greg Burns of Metta Vibrations. Filling the atmosphere with the sounds of singing bells, gongs and chimes while providing soothing imagery, this concert can help you lighten your mental load and foster emotional balance. Come absorb this therapeutic environment for 5 minutes or the whole time. Board our tractor-driven wagon for a trip through our wooded trails to the Equestrian Center for s’mores. Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. $29 per adult, $25 children 15 & under. Open to the public, reservation is required.
