The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa has been around for more than two centuries. We opened our doors 10 years before the Declaration of Independence was signed and have seen many presidents, royalty and families come through our doors. We're pretty proud of our history and love to share it with our visitors. So when you stay, be sure to sign up for the history tour.

Join our hickory sticks golf competitions on Saturday. Participants can try their hand at a longest drive and closest to the pin with traditional hickory stick golf clubs. Guests will have the chance to compare the hickory sticks and today’s modern clubs during the practice rounds. $25 per 5 balls.

Learn the history of fly fishing and the development of rod technology through the years. Master rod builder and owner of Sweetwater Fly Rods Charles Armontrout will give a presentation on the history of the fly rod and the revival of fiberglass rods.
