Montreal Skyline

Montreal comes Alive  to celebrate 375 years. There has never been a better time to visit our city and immerse yourselves in our history, heritage and culture. Be a part of Montréal's autumn adventures and create lasting memories.

Discover all there is to do during the 375th anniversary this autumn:

  • Fleuve-Montagne Promenade: The 3.8 km (2.6 mile) urban trail connects the St Lawrence River to the foot of Mont-Royal showcasing Montréal’s culture, history, heritage and landscapes.

  • La Grande Roue (The Observation Wheel): At the end of June, Montreal will reveal Canada's tallest observation wheel. At 60 meters in height (20 stories high) this new instillation will offer year round panoramic views of the city and surrounding areas.

  • Lighting of the Jacques Cartier Bridge: The Jacques Cartier Bridge comes to life nightly capturing the pulse of Montréal in real time, reflecting its energy, social media conversations and mood (#illuminationMtl). The luminous movements are a tribute to the days hottest media topics.

  • Montréal Avudo: Magical images and scenes are projected on water as a poetic tribute to the river, city, neighbourhoods and residents.

  • Walk of Peace: The Walk of Peace extends from McCord Museum past our front door to the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts. There are 200 international flags on display and 72 works of art by Canadian and international artists.

  • Cité Mémoire, Montreal en History: Montreal’s unique evolution is brought to life through a host of video’s projected on walls and buildings at dusk.
