We host many ceremonies at The Omni King Edward Hotel. The ceremony is held in the same ballroom as your dinner dance. We set the room in a traditional layout with all the guests facing the couple during the service. Once the ceremony is complete, your guests exit the ballroom to enjoy the cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception in the foyer. During this time we close the doors and completely work our magic turning the ballroom into the dinner/dance. This takes approximately 1 hour to 1.5 hours, depending on how elaborate the set-up is. Kindly note, the turnover fee is $500.

The Hotel can provide a children’s menu for those guests under 12 years of age, consisting of three courses for the price of $45.00 per child, plus service charge and HST. Your catering manager can provide you with the Children’s menu to choose from. Young adult guests, under 19 years of age, will be charged a Teen price for the Wedding Package, consisting of the Package price without the Alcoholic Beverages.
Vendor Meals are $60.00 each and consist of Chef’s choice of Salad, Chicken with Potatoes, Dessert and Cold Beverage and can be discussed with your Catering Manager at time of planning. There is also the option to serve your Vendors the same meal as your guests at the Wedding Dinner price.
We do allow you to bring in your own Wedding Cake for your event. If you wish us to cut the entire cake, plate, garnish and serve it, the plating cost is $7 per person. However what we usually do is cut a few dozen pieces after you’ve taken your photographs with it and present those pieces on the late night table for guests who wish to have some. For this there is no charge.
Ontario Liquor Laws permit the serving of alcoholic beverages from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. at which time all entertainment should cease in order to clear the event space. Should you wish to have the bar open for additional hours, the bar is charged on a consumption basis for the extra beverages consumed.
The Omni King Edward Hotel maintains a full service, on-site audiovisual production company through Freeman AV Presentation Services. Freeman AV can offer a wide range of lighting to enhance your ballroom including the lighting up of our famed Dome Ceiling in Vanity Fair Ballroom, in your favourite colours. We are confident that they will provide exceptional service for your events. Please note that Freeman AV is the exclusive provider of power and internet at the hotel. Please make sure to verify with your Band, DJ or Decorator if they require additional power requirements. Depending on their specifications, electrical power can be arranged at an additional cost.
The King Edward Hotel offers valet parking only at the rate of $48.00 plus HST per car per night. Parking can be guaranteed in advance but please note we only have a limited number of parking spots available. Please speak to your catering manager for details.
