OMNI HOTELS NAMES VICE PRESIDENT OF E-COMMERCE

Irving, Texas (October 19, 2009) – Omni Hotels announced that Kerry Kennedy has been promoted to the position of Vice President, E-Commerce. Kennedy will be charged with keeping Omni on the forefront of emerging hotel trends which enhance the guest experience, merging marketing strategies with new technologies.

Kennedy joined Omni Hotels in 2005 as the Director of E-Commerce having previously served in key e-commerce positions with the interactive agency, IMC2, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Hotels. Since joining Omni Hotels, he and the e-commerce team have helped significantly improve the user experience and enhanced conversion on the brand’s fastest-growing distribution channel. He also works closely with OTAs to ensure the brand optimizes revenues through these channels and is correctly positioned. Kennedy has also been an innovator, developing one of the industry’s first mobile websites, online check-in features and Omni’s online in-room services program. Kennedy has also championed the development of Omni’s guest-centric social networking strategies.

Kennedy is seen as a hospitality e-commerce expert and has appeared frequently in industry conferences showcasing Omni’s ground-breaking interactive initiatives.
