Omni Hotels & Resorts Appoints Steve Keenan as General Manager for Omni Oklahoma City Hotel

Native Oklahoman to lead efforts on brand’s expansion into Oklahoma slated to open early 2021

Oklahoma City, OK (February 24, 2020) – Omni Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Keenan as general manager of Omni Oklahoma City Hotel, the brand’s upcoming development scheduled to open in early 2021. After 22 years with Omni, Keenan is ideally suited to spearhead a successful opening for the 605-room hotel.

During his tenure with Omni, Keenan excelled in various roles within the organization including director of rooms at Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West, resident manager at Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas and Omni William Penn Hotel, director of operations at Omni Corpus Christi Hotel and opening director of rooms for Omni Fort Worth Hotel. In 2007, he returned to Omni Corpus Christi Hotel as general manager, where he has been an excellent leader for the past seven years. He has earned the titles of Ideal Executive for Operations as a result of his work at Omni William Penn and General Manager of the Year in 2013 for his work at Omni Corpus Christi.

Keenan graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management. After growing up in Tulsa, he looks forward to moving back to the "Sooner State" with his wife, Jeanne, and son, Harrison. They also have two daughters, Sophia, who lives in Corpus Christi, and Emily, who lives in the Dallas area. In his free time, he enjoys watching college football.
