Archery

Visit your primitive roots and take a step back in time with our On-Target Archery Program for adults and children alike! This activity is great for beginners and advanced archers - explore the use of recurve bows without the use of modern sites. Guests can engage in friendly competition or test their aim at 10-20 yard distances. Takes place at the archery center at Omni Bedford Springs Resort. Tournament style available for larger groups. Private archery is available for family units at any of the available times, but must be booked out completely!

Axe Throwing

Available Daily 

Step into a new role, as an axe-pert! Try your hand at axe throwing in the beauty of the Allegheny Mountains. Learn the proper throwing techniques and make memories during this fun and exciting adventure. Reservations required in advance. $55 per person - 60 minutes.

Biking

Leisure trails below the resort take guests through paved, gravel, and groomed trails. Travel to Red Oak Lake and Black Spring to get in some of our remote, scenic areas of property. You can also travel into town to get in some window shopping, sight-seeing or lunch. Both areas are just over a mile from the resort.  Miles of mountain biking trails are located above the resort, offer thrilling adventure as you weave in and out of the woodland. Bike trails are strenuous and not meant for inexperienced bikers or children. These trails can be ungroomed at certain times of the year. Great for exercise and adventure.

Bike rentals include the use of a helmet, lock and key. Current bike styles include 2021 model Cannondale Treadwells, 2021 Cannondale NEOs, and Maxi Fat Tire Trails. Limited quantities of children's bikes available.

Fire Pit

Located on the front lawn of the resort off of the Frontier Tavern, a welcoming fire pit lit nightly invites you for cocktails and conversation. Enjoy an evening under the stars warming by the fire and roasting a fresh s’more with your friends and family.

Fishing

Get outside and enjoy fishing right on property at Shober's Run (stocked trout stream) or Red Oak Lake (spring fed pond, where we ask you to catch and release. Take in the fresh air and cast your worries away.

Spincast Fishing Rentals at Tally Ho Sport Shop:

• Guests at least 16 years of age who supply their own equipment and are licensed to fish in Pennsylvania will incur no additional cost for on-property fishing. Pennsylvania fishing licenses can be purchased here.

Fly Fishing

We offer guided fly fishing excursions to local trout streams.

Hiking

Explore the beautiful property that is home to Bedford Springs by hiking on one of the trails. Whether you are looking for a leisurely walk or a challenging fitness hike, the choice is yours. Don’t forget to take a map and a bottled water when you are hiking.

Experience your own private hike with Omni Bedford Springs Resort’s trail guide who is also an experienced meditation teacher. Our guide will take you to some of the loveliest and most peaceful places on our 2,200 acres, and will provide you with practical ways to bring mindfulness and meditation into your daily life.

Off-road Vehicle Tour

Take a ride on the wild side with a guided tour that will take you on some of the more remote trails. With over 8 miles of UTV trails to explore, this excursion is sure to give you a thrill. Equipped with 2024 Polaris RZR, experience an adventure you won't forget! Off-Road Vehicle Tours include helmets, goggles, and a safety program prior to taking off for the trail head.

• Must be 12 years or older and be able to properly fit helmet, feet reach the floor of the vehicle, and hands able to hold grab bars. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian 25 years and older. Drivers must be 21+ with a valid driver's license!

Tennis 

Tennis balls are available for purchase at the Tally Ho Sport Shop for $7 a tube. Tennis court is complimentary and reserved in 1 hour time slots daily. The tennis court is located behind the resort, next to the cottage. Hours of the court are dawn until dusk.
