PARENTS SLEEP IN WHILE KIDS PREPARE BREAKFAST AT OMNI HOTELS' TEXAS COLLECTION

IRVING, TX (June 10, 2008) —Summer is heating up and so are kitchens across Texas, as the Omni Hotels’ Texas Collection debuts “Cooking Up Fun,” a weekend package seasoned with fun-filled family memory-makers. While parents spend quality time together, an Omni culinary expert will escort the littlest guests to participate in a cooking class, where they will don a miniature apron and towering chef hat to help make breakfast for their family. Kids will be captivated as they create fun dishes, ranging from sunny-side smiley faces to biscuit butterflies. The morning culminates when the kids show off their culinary creations by helping deliver breakfast in bed to their parents.

“Our chefs and food and beverage teams have developed a fun and engaging class for our future foodies,” said Jim Snow, regional vice president of operations for Omni Hotels. “We are sure the ‘Cooking Up Fun’ package will be the icing on the cake to any family’s stay.”

Omni Hotels in Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio are offering “Cooking Up Fun” at special rates beginning at $229 until Sept. 1. In addition to the cooking kids’ cooking class, families will also receive a cookbook to take home. Omni will provide kids with an Omni Sensational Kids bag filled with sensory trinkets at check-in as well as cookies and milk delivered to the guestroom each night.

Visitors can spice up their stay by booking the package in one of the Texas Collection Kids’ Sensory Suites. These vibrant guestrooms are designed to provide the comforts of home and stimulate the senses of young travelers, featuring twin beds with colorful bedding, beanbag chairs, an art table, board games, books, cozy bath robes, aquatic-themed bath accessories and a complimentary Kids’ Sensation Bar filled with toys, trinkets and snacks. The special suites are available at the Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark, Omni Corpus Christi Hotel, Omni Houston Hotel near the Galleria, Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas in the Dallas area and the Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade.
