SEAWALL BEACHFRONT CAFE OPENS FOR SPRING BREAK

Corpus Christi, TX (February 24, 2009) – The Omni Corpus Christi Hotel announces the official opening of their new beachfront café, SeaWall, just in time for the thousands of visitors arriving for Spring Break. The casual restaurant on McGee Beach will serve appetizers, fresh salads and over-sized sandwiches and offer beer, wine and Saketinis. From the patio, hotel guests and Coastal Bend residents alike can enjoy the breathtaking beachfront views of the Bay, observe the kiteboarders and sailboats and watch stunning sunsets.

“The new restaurant is designed as a tribute to the miles of seawall that are uniquely part of Corpus Christi,” says Nils Stolzlechner, general manager of the Omni Corpus Christi Hotel. “How fortunate are we that our entire downtown is lined with a seawall, beaches and the beautiful waters of Corpus Christi Bay. We really want to give our guests and locals a place to sit outside, sip on something cool and enjoy the sights and sounds of the beach.”

The menu will include u-peel-em shrimp by the pound, various salads and sandwiches. Salad options include Shrimp Louis, Corpus Christi Cobb and Cold Roast Beef. The menu also offers Classic Ham & Cheese, Grilled Chicken or Roasted Turkey sandwiches. Drink options will include over eight domestic and imported beers, several domestic and imported wines and signature Pomegranate Saketinis, made with premium sake infused with tropical juices.

Diners will also be able to enjoy beach-style and classic rock music, cards, backgammon and dominos. Hour of operation are 11:30 am until 7:00 p.m. Seawall will be open Wednesday through Sunday for Spring Break, March 6-22, 2009. Starting the week of March 23rd Seawall will open Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Labor Day.
