FIRESIDE COCKTAIL CUISINE BECOMES THE GOURMET GRUB HUB FOR NEW YORK FANS DURING SEASON RIVALRY

NEW YORK (June 16, 2009) –– Take me out to the ballgame…Fireside Cocktail Cuisine at the Omni Berkshire Place is stepping up to the plate to offer New York baseball fans a real grand slam celebration with gourmet specialty sandwiches and game time munching as the hometown teams hit the field this weekend.

During game time, Fireside will serve up a special line-up created by its new chef, John Milito, the 7 Train Sub and the 4 Train Panino adding some heavy hitters to the already fun and entertaining menu. Spirited friends and foes can watch the series together on the oversized 125-inch HD flat screen TV and wash down their thematic fare with half-priced beers. Those who are a bit indifferent to the big-time rivalry can choose the “Home Plate Special” featuring half of each “the 7 and the 4” sandwiches. Or, for pinch-hitting chefs who prefer to stay home during the games, Fireside’s recipes can get you out of an entertaining “pickle:”

The 7 Train Sub

Stacked with Sliced Salami and Pepperoni from New York’s own Salumeri, layered with Provolone, Pepperocino Peppers, Pickled Red Onion, Iceberg Lettuce and Sun Dried Tomatoes on a Seven Grain Hero rubbed with Olive Tapenade

The 4 Train Panino

Overflowing with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Garden Greens, Vine Ripened Tomatoes and Aged New York Cheddar on a Classic Ciabatta Roll smeared with Chipotle Mayonnaise

Fireside Cocktail Cuisine is the Omni Berkshire Place’s culinary destination known for putting an upscale, contemporary spin on comfort food. The menu is complete with delectable dishes such as sliders, lobster rolls and lollipop buffalo wings as well as desserts for a delicious seventh inning stretch.
