Omni Hotels & Resorts Teams With Joining Forces for Military Employment

Three-Year Plan Transitions Veterans from Military Service to Service Sector 

IRVING, TX (May 31, 2012)Omni Hotels & Resorts joins the national effort to increase employment for American veterans and their families through a cooperative effort with Joining Forces. Upon entering a three-year plan that focuses on recruitment, Omni has a unique opportunity to provide luxury hospitality careers to veterans through Joining Forces. 

Joining Forces is an initiative that mobilizes all sectors of society to give opportunities in the areas of employment, education and wellness to service members and their families who earned the support through their service to the country. As a recognized industry leader, Omni accepted the opportunity to support the mission of Joining Forces in the area of employment through hiring fairs and human resource outreach.

Omni recruitment efforts will include participation at Veteran Jobs Fairs in cities across the United States. The first of these will be hosted by Recruit Military on July 19, 2012 at the Irving Convention Center in the Dallas/Fort Worth region. The Omni corporate headquarters are located in the Dallas/Fort Worth region, along with four Omni properties, including the newest addition to the portfolio, the 1,001-room Omni Dallas Hotel. Omni will also be hiring hundreds of additional Associates in Nashville, where the 800-room hotel will open in late 2013, and in Amelia Island, FL with the $85 million expansion of the Omni Amelia Island Resort, which will be completed in early 2013
