OMNI NASHVILLE HOTEL BOOKS MORE THAN 100,000 ROOM NIGHTS
Nashville’s Upcoming Convention Center Hotel Reaches First Sales Milestone
NASHVILLE, TN (April 19, 2012) - The Omni Nashville Hotel is pleased to announce that it has secured more than 100,000 definite group room nights. The bookings are comprised of more than 55 meetings and conventions contracted. The centrally located, luxury 21-story high-rise is set to capture the distinct culture of Music City and embody the authentic character of Nashville.
Specifically, a conference scheduled for 2015 by the Society of Women Engineers pushed Omni Nashville over the 100,000 mark. “We chose Nashville because we’ve had very positive experiences there in the past — surrounding areas are fun and safe, with many things to do,” said Jeanne M. Elipani, Society of Women Engineers’ conference manager. “The timing of the convention center expansion is perfect as we could not have come back without the extra space, plus the addition of the Omni Nashville as our host hotel will provide a new, modern twist.”
With more than 80,000 square feet of meeting space — including 25,000 and 15,000 square foot ballrooms — the Omni Nashville Hotel will suit virtually any size and any type of function, from large association meetings to corporate events to elaborate galas and weddings. The hotel offers unique opportunities for meeting and event attendees, as it’s conveniently located adjacent to the new, state-of-the-art 1.2 million square-foot Music City Center and seamlessly connected on four levels to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Construction crews are now pouring concrete on the third level of the hotel tower footprint and preparing to extend to the fourth floor, both of which are comprised primarily of meeting space.
“We are creating a Nashville meeting and events destination that is alive with the spirit of Music City,” said Tod Roadarmel, director of sales and marketing for the Omni Nashville Hotel. “We look forward to welcoming the varying organizations and groups that are looking to make Nashville a part of their meeting experiences.”
This sales milestone was accomplished with the help of the Omni Nashville Hotel’s growing sales professionals, Barry Rice, senior sales associate; Jamie Shirley, market research coordinator; and Brooks Atwater, senior sales associate, who secured the Society of Women Engineers meeting contract and was recently named Omni Hotels & Resorts’ Group Sales Associate of the Year.
The Omni Nashville Hotel is expected to open in late 2013; sales efforts are now underway for business beginning November 1, 2013. The hotel will also host its first scheduled group, the International Entertainment Buyers Association, in 2013.
