Luxury Hotel Brand to Launch Eighth Annual Sales Initiative; Tax-Free Incentives for Meetings and Banquets

DALLAS (April 12, 2016) — On April 12, Omni Hotels & Resorts will “rock the nation” for its eighth annual "Here Comes Omni" program, where the entire Omni sales network conducts thousands of face-to-face meetings and hosts appreciation events for valued customers. Traditionally a one-day event, the program has extended to include a full week’s worth of activities ending on April 15. From coast to coast, the sales and catering network of nearly 800 associates will call upon more than 4,000 customers in 40 different cities across North America. Additionally, the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), which Omni is a founding member, will host a Here Comes GHA Week also scheduled April 12 - 15. GHA members will coordinate sales calls and customer receptions across the globe during the entire week.

This year’s “Here Comes’ Omni” will commemorate the election year by offering tax-free incentives. Qualifying meetings throughout 2016 will receive complimentary guest room tax for a meeting or event as a credit to the master account. As a bonus, if a planner confirms a meeting during a need date, he or she will also receive complimentary banquet food taxes as a credit to the master account. Likewise, planners who book a qualifying catering or social event will receive complimentary banquet food taxes as a credit to the master account. These offers apply to meetings or catering events contracted by May 15, 2016, and consumed by December 31, 2016, with a minimum guest room or banquet spend of $15,000.

New Developments
In addition to Omni’s already robust and unique property portfolio, three new properties have garnered the attention of meeting planners and leisure guests alike. Set to open in summer 2017, the luxurious Omni Frisco Hotel is accepting meeting inquiries. This new luxurious property will serve as a cornerstone of The Star development in North Texas, which will be anchored by the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and The Ford Center. The 16-story property will feature 300-finely appointed guest rooms and suites, 24,000 square feet of meeting space, inclusive of a 13,000 square foot ballroom, a fine dining venue, lobby coffee and wine bar, and a rooftop pool bar and grill.

Additionally, the Omni Louisville Hotel, which broke ground in January of this year, is also accepting meeting inquirers. As Omni’s first property in Kentucky, this new property is scheduled to open in 2018 and will feature 612 guestrooms, 70,000 square-feet of flexible meeting and event space, and an additional 300,000 square-feet of meeting and exhibit space at the Kentucky International Convention Center. The hotel will include an all-day dining venue, lobby lounge, rooftop pool bar and grill, an iconic Bob’s Steak & Chop House as the hotel’s fine-dining establishment, as well as a dynamic, modern urban lifestyle market that will connect to the hotel’s lobby.

Travelers can also look forward to visiting the future Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta. This new property, in development with the Atlanta Braves, will feature 16 floors, approximately 260 finely appointed guest rooms and suites, rooftop hospitality suites, approximately 12,500 square feet of meeting space, a signature restaurant, and an elevated pool deck and bar overlooking the plaza and SunTrust Park, the future home of the Atlanta Braves.
