PROVE TO THE WORLD WHY YOUR DAD IS THE TOP POP IN OMNI SAN DIEGO HOTEL'S FATHER OF THE YEAR CONTEST

SAN DIEGO, Calif., (March 31, 2008) – Do you think your dad deserves something special for Father’s Day? We do too! This year you can break away from the ordinary tie or t-shirt gift by entering your dad in the Omni San Diego Hotel’s Father of the Year Contest. Beginning March 31st, children 18 and under can enter their dad by writing an essay to the hotel explaining, “why their dad is the best dad ever.” Entries are due by June 1 and the winner will be chosen and announced on Father’s Day, June 15. One lucky winner will have their essay posted on the Omni Web site and win a special “Father of the Year” grand prize.

The grand prize includes:

• One night's accommodations for two at Omni San Diego Hotel
• Two tickets to watch a Padres baseball game from Omni’s premier seats at PETCO Park
• Special skybridge access on game day with passes to the Omni Premier Club
• Turndown amenity of a Padres’ baseball and glove accompanied by a list of local parks for a fun game of catch
• A PETCO Park VIP package including a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium, an autographed item and dad’s name showcased on the matrix board in PETCO Park
