Talented Sales Team Selected to Lead Luxury Lifestyle Property; Major League Baseball was First Group to Sign Contract with Hotel

ATLANTA (Oct. 23, 2017) – The Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta announced today the appointments of its sales and marketing teams in advance of its December 28, 2017 opening. Each of the new sales and marketing team associates will report to the hotel Director of Sales and Marketing, Katie D. Clark. Additionally, the property announced that Major League Baseball (MLB) was the first organization to sign a group contract and will hold a meeting at the hotel in August 2018.

will assume the role of the hotel’s director of sales and marketing, overseeing all sales and marketing efforts for the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta including managing, developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies that drive group, business and leisure travel sales, as well as leading all advertising and communications initiatives. Clark joins the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta from Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where she held several sales and marketing leadership positions. She graduated from The College of New Jersey with a degree in corporate and organizational communications.

Ashleigh Bowers Narcelles will serve as the area manager of business travel sales. Previously, she served as an adjunct professor for the hospitality graduate program at New York University and was the director of sales at Loews Regency Hotel in New York City. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Roanoke College and holds a master’s degree in hospitality management from New York University.

As director of catering and convention services, Alex Glass joins the hotel from the Kimpton Hotel Palomar in Washington D.C., where he oversaw day-to-day functions of the banquet, catering and conference service departments. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida.

Caitlin Bloom comes to the hotel as express sales manager. Before joining the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta, Bloom worked at Marriott International as a regional sales manager representing more than 70 hotels within four states. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of West Georgia.

Cary Handy will be a group sales manager for the property. Prior to joining the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta, she was responsible for sales for Marriott International in the Southeast region. Handy previously held sales positions at Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park Center and Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate and is a graduate of Omni’s Leaders in Development program. She holds an associate degree in hotel restaurant and tourism management from Athens Technical College.

Karen Donatelli will also serve as a group sales manager for the hotel. Previously, Donatelli was a sales manager for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide overseeing the Atlanta-area properties. She holds a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from Georgia Southern University.

Meghan McNearney joins the hotel as area marketing manager. McNearney brings years of experience to her role, most recently working as marketing director for an Atlanta-based real estate development company where she led marketing and public relations initiatives for multiple mixed-use properties, including Shops Around Lenox. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University.

Scheduled to open December 28, 2017, the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta will be a full-service hotel and serve as a cornerstone of the mixed-use community adjacent to SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. The luxurious property will feature 16 floors, 264 guest rooms including 28 suites, more than 12,000 square feet of meeting space, an elevated upscale pool deck and bar, and its signature restaurant – Achie’s – which will provide Southern-inspired fare helmed by James Beard Foundation Award-winning chef and author Hugh Acheson.

Located on the 60-acre mixed-use development site, at the northwest intersection of I-75 and I-285 at Cobb Parkway, the new community will redefine the traditional model of “live, work, play” into a “play, work, stay” destination. The community will also feature residences and premier office space, an entertainment venue, retail and a variety of dining options.
