HSMAI to Honor Omni Hotels & Resorts and Chairman, Peter Strebel, at Adrian Awards Celebration


Dallas, (December 12, 2022) – Omni Hotels & Resorts will receive two honors for travel marketing excellence by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI). Peter Strebel, chairman of Omni Hotels & Resorts, will receive the HSMAI Lifetime Achievement Award, while the brand will be recognized with an Adrian Award for its work in corporate social responsibility.

The Adrian Awards, now in their 66th year, are the largest and most prestigious competition in global travel marketing. Peter Strebel is receiving the Albert E. Koehl Award for Lifetime Achievement in Hospitality Marketing, an honor that recognizes individuals who have spent most of their careers in hospitality and travel and have contributed to the betterment of the industry in a significant and lasting way over an extended period of time.

Omni Hotels & Resorts will also receive a Bronze Adrian Award for its winning entry in the Corporate Social Responsibility category. The campaign was centered around September Hunger Action Month, in which the company doubled down on its efforts to fight food insecurity and set a goal to donate 750,000 meals to Feeding America® in September alone by raising awareness and engaging guests and local communities, with several activations nationwide. The campaign was amplified with a three-city tour across the United States featuring an Omni Hotels & Resorts branded hot-air balloon that flew at Omni PGA Frisco Resort in Frisco, TX; The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA; and Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, GA, underscoring Omni Hotels & Resorts’ pledge to fight food insecurity by “raising” awareness to this important effort.
