For more than a century, guests have retreated to the Omni Mount Washington Resort for the fresh mountain air and pristine natural landscape. With nearly 800,000 acres of White Mountain National Forest to nourish the body and feed the soul, it's the perfect setting for The Spa.
Inspired by the plethora of White Mountain flora and fauna, we've created a 25,000 square foot spa as extraordinary as its surroundings. Treatment rooms feature endless views of Mount Washington, the Presidential Range and Crawford Notch. Custom-made Mountain Mist products, used in our Signature treatments, are infused with such local botanicals as Candytuft, Nettle and Rosemary - ingredients used since ancient times to soothe muscles, smooth and protect the skin and reduce inflammation. Like the mountains that embrace it, The Spa will open your mind, rejuvenate your body and soothe your spirit. We invite you to experience it for yourself.
Take your game to a higher level. The spectacular grounds of Omni Mount Washington Resort offer an 18- and a 9-hole championship golf course.
Starting in the spring of 2007, the Mount Washington Course, originally designed by Donald Ross (1915), was caringly restored by Brian Silva, using Donald Ross’ original plans. The Mount Washington Course reopened on August 1, 2008.
Bretton Woods Canopy Tour
Located right here in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, and descending over 1000 feet of elevation, the tour takes nature-lovers and thrill-seekers across a series of tree-top zip lines, and is the longest zip line canopy tour in New England and one of the longest canopy tours in the continental United States! High-flying suspension bridges and hiking trails connect the zip lines, and the tour concludes with the Williwaw Racing Zip, a dual, side-by-side zip line leading right into the Bretton Woods base area!
Designed and constructed by Bonsai Design Inc., this unique canopy tour features a dual-cable construction (you slide below two separate cables, instead of just one), coated cables (to make for a quiet, more natural flight through the trees) and platforms and bridges milled from locally-harvested wood sources, in keeping with our commitment to environmentally sustainable programs.
Once on the tour, our Adventure Guides describe the native flora and fauna, in addition to discussing the surrounding area, its natural history and White Mountain lore.
All in all, a unique New Hampshire experience not to be missed!
Williwaw Racing Zip
The Williwaw Racing Zip is a great way to sample the last zip line of the Canopy Tour and is a thrilling ride on its own. One ride takes about 20 minutes, including getting harnessed up, transported to the top and getting unharnessed. Plus - you may take multiple rides at a reduced rate, provided you stay in your harness and do your rides in immediate succession!
The Omni Mount Washington Resort is set amidst nearly 800,000 acres of White Mountain National Forest, offering the opportunity to enjoy any number of outdoor activities from spring through fall, including mountain biking, horseback riding, disc golf, hiking/walking, fly fishing, rock climbing and just plain exploring!
Bretton Woods Adaptive, Inc. (BWA) is a separate and independent non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, which offers a four-season program of sports and recreation for those with disabilities. Conveniently located on the base level of the Mountain Lodge at The Mount Washington Resort at Bretton Woods, Bretton Woods Adaptive serves the whole family making it possible for everyone to enjoy the thrills and delights of the outdoors.
BWA is a chapter of Disabled Sports/USA and partners with AbilityPLUS at Waterville Valley and New England Disabled Sports (NEDS) at Loon in the Northeast Adaptive Sports Coalition (NEASC) to provide additional recreational offerings.
A staff of well-trained and experienced volunteers supports all BWA recreational sports and activities. The volunteers come from all over New England and are of all ages - high school students to retirees. Some volunteers have disabilities themselves and know first-hand the challenges and triumphs faced by participants and their families.
