In the tradition of such classic races as the Geschmossel, the longest running citizen’s race in New Hampshire, and the Mt. Washington Cup, the Bretton Woods Nordic Center at Omni Mount Washington Resort is inviting all long-distance classic skiers to join them on a new journey to benefit the New England Ski Museum.

March 14 : 36th Annual Mount Washington Cup Cross Country Race

On the grounds of the historic Mount Washington Hotel and the White Mountain National Forest, the Bretton Woods Nordic Center is one of the largest cross country areas in the East. The 100-km trail network crosses open fields, meanders through woods of spruce and fir, passes beaver ponds and mountain streams, and traverses open hardwood stands.

March 25 : Wounded Warrior Disabled Sports Project

This event is a collaboration of AbilityPlus at Waterville Valley, WMASS at Loon, Bretton Woods Adaptive, Inc., Wounded Warrior Project and Disabled Sports/USA. Disabled service men and women will be hosted at local homes with skiing and skiing instruction on Thursday, March 25th at Bretton Woods, Friday, March 26th at Loon and on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Waterville Valley.
