Morel Smash

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. | Cruzan Rum
  • .75 oz. | Lemon Juice
  • .75 oz. | Morel Syrup
  • 3 dashes | Rhubarb Bitters
  • 3 | Fresh Strawberries

Method & Technique

Remove the stems from the strawberries and muddle with the lemon juice and morel syrup. Add the muddled morel syrup and bitters to a cocktail shaker with the Cruzan rum and bitters. Shake vigorously with ice. Strain and pour over crushed ice. Garnish with strawberry and the reserved morels.

Morel Syrup

Ingredients

  • .5 oz. | Dried Morel
  • .75 oz. | Hot Water
  • .75 oz. | Honey

Method & Technique

Steep the dried morels in the hot water for five minutes. Remove the morels and reserve for garnish. Add the honey to the morel-infused water and allow to dissolve. Serve with the Morel Smash.
