Please be aware Fazio Foothills is currently undergoing a complete restoration to enhance the overall course experience. We have tapped the legendary Tom Fazio and his team of course engineers for specific recommendations on the revised course design. Substantial updates include a new state-of-the-art irrigation system, redesigned bunkers and tees, native area restoration and sand capping work, all of which will restore the overall health of the course.
The course is currently closed and will reopen as soon as the renovations have completed.
Description of the Course:
Recently named the #3 top course you can play in Texas by Golf Magazine, Fazio Foothills continues to impress golf experts and rack up prestigious awards.
“Best described as a roller-coaster ride through the Texas Hill Country (without the screaming)” by the Golf Channel’s Matt Ginella, the resort’s signature track and most dramatic course offers elevated tee boxes and a thrilling ride down to the fairways and greens, protected by cliffs, creeks and waterfalls.
With a challenging but fair layout that places a premium on shot-making, Foothills offers five different sets of tee boxes, rendering the course both rewarding to beginners and high handicappers, yet challenging to avid golfers. The course even played host to the Champions Tour Legends of Golf tournament from 1990-1994.
At 7,125 yards, long, accurate drives down the Hybrid TIFSport Bermuda fairways are a hallmark of Tom Fazio’s design. And with small, TiffEagle Bermuda greens, undulating aprons and grass bunkers, the Foothills course is a shot-maker’s paradise.
