Foxfield Races

Foxfield in Virginia has hosted steeplechase races for over 40 years, initially purchased in 1977 by Mariann de Tejeda. After the death of race director Benjamin Dick in 2016, Thomas J. Dick took over until a new management framework was established. Working with Dr. Reynolds Cowles and Garth Road Preservation, Thomas J. Dick formed Foxfield Racing LLC in June 2020 to oversee the races and limit property development. In 2019, Thomas J. Dick secured the future of Foxfield Races by placing the racecourse and surrounding land under conservation easement with the Albemarle Conservation Easement Authority.
