Coors Field

Home of the Colorado Rockies Baseball team, Coors Field is located in the historic Lower Downtown "LODO" neighborhood of Denver. This stadium, built in 1999, anchored this neighborhood and hastened its transformation into a major entertainment district for the city. The field is especially known for Denver altitude's effect on the game of baseball. A baseball hit here will travel 9% farther than at sea level due to the decreased resistance of the air in the "Mile High City." The dry air also plays a factor leading to the use of a humidor for baseball storage.

Take the whole family out and enjoy a day at the ballpark. Coors Field is a 25 minute drive from the hotel, or hop on the new Flatirons Flyer express bus system dropping you off directly at Union Station, an easy walk to the field.

Things to Know Before You Go

• Coors Field is located at 2001 Blake Street; Denver, CO 80205, just 17.7 miles from the Omni Interlocken Hotel. 
• On game days, RTD also offers park and ride service to Coors Field.  
• For a day game, be sure to bring sunscreen and water!  
• Evening games offer a spectacular view of sunset over the Rocky Mountains from upper level west facing sections.
• Tours of the ballpark are available year round. Please see the Coors field website for time and details.  
• Plan additional time before or after the game to tour the Lower Downtown area. 
• Nearby attractions include the newly renovated Union Station, the REI Flagship store, Confluence Park of the South Platte River and Cherry Creek, and Elitch Gardens Amusement Park. 
• A local favorite is to enjoy drinks on one of the many rooftop decks along Blake and Market streets, or visit Larimer Square for more upscale options.
