Houston's second largest airport, William P. Hobby (HOU), has been serving the Houston community for more than 80 years and became an international airport in October 2015 with the opening of a new West Terminal facility. Only seven miles from downtown Houston, HOU is ushering in the return of daily international air service for this popular airport facility and its 12 million annual passengers. Through a partnership with Southwest Airlines, the Houston Airport System welcomed international flight service to Hobby Airport. The new construction of a five-gate concourse accommodating regional international flights to various locations across Latin America. The Houston Airport System anticipates one million additional passengers per year can be accommodated with a new four-level parking garage, roadway modifications and other enhancements to elevate their customer experience.

HOU offers nonstop or direct service to nearly 60 destinations throughout the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2014, nearly 12 million passengers were served at HOU. HOU also ranked as the 36th busiest airport in the U.S. for passenger totals in 2014. HOU is the center for Houston's regional corporate and private aviation.
