Declaration of Independence Reading | 10 AM
Experience the reading of the Declaration on the steps of the National Archives. The ceremony features historical reenactors portraying famous Founding Figures reading the document to the public, live musical performances, and family-friendly festivities.
The Fireworks | 9 PM
The 4th of July fireworks in Washington, DC, will be an extraordinary 17-minute display that is launched from both sides of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. The main display is over the National Mall. Arrive early, pack water and sunscreen, and be prepared for bag checks and secure entry points plus great fun. Less-crowded viewing spots include the U.S. Capitol, the Iwo Jima Memorial in Arlington, Gravelly Point and Hains Point.
