Upscale Hotel Announces Picasso and Braque Package to Celebrate Exhibition’s International Debut
FORT WORTH, TX (May 11, 2011) – The Omni Fort Worth Hotel is launching a “Kimbell Picasso and Braque Exhibit” package to coincide with the international debut of the Kimbell Art Museum’s Picasso and Braque: The Cubist Experiment, 1910–1912. The “Kimbell Picasso and Braque Exhibit” package includes deluxe overnight accommodations, two tickets to the Picasso and Braque exhibit and complimentary breakfast for two daily in the luxury hotel’s restaurant, Cast Iron .
Picasso and Braque: The Cubist Experiment, 1910–1912 , on exhibit from May 29 – Aug. 21, is the first exhibition to unite nearly all works created by the two artists during this time period. It features 15 paintings and 20 other works on paper - all conceived and executed by Picasso and Braque - and reveals the intriguing game that played out between the two, which ultimately led to the invention of the art form known as Analytic Cubism. Additionally, visitors can utilize a cutting-edge visual technology to independently zoom in on the smallest brush strokes and specks of color on select pieces in the exhibit.
Since its opening in January 2009, the Omni Fort Worth Hotel and the internationally acclaimed Kimbell Art Museum have been in partnership.
