IRVING, TX (Dec. 21, 2009) – An unprecedented eight Omni Hotels have been named on Travel+Leisure’s annual list of the top 500 hotels in the world, featured in the January 2010 issue of the esteemed travel magazine as well as on travelandleisure.com/tl500. Seven Omni Hotels are named on the T+L 500 in the United States: the Omni San Francisco Hotel; the Omni Berkshire Place  in New York; the Omni Hotel at Independence Park in Philadelphia; the Omni Chicago Hotel; the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas near Dallas; the Omni La Mansion del Rio and the Watermark Hotel & Spa in San Antonio. The Omni Mont-Royal in Montreal, Canada is included on the T+L 500.

“It is truly an honor to have so many great Omni Hotels recognized on Travel + Leisure’s prestigious T+L 500 list of the world’s best hotels,” said Mike Deitemeyer, president of Omni Hotels. “This is tremendous reinforcement that our guests clearly take notice of our unique properties, heightened level of personalized service and commitment to creating memorable experiences.”

The 2010 T+L 500 recognizes the 500 highest-rated hotels, resorts, inns and lodges from Travel + Leisure’s 2009 World’s Best Awards survey and identifies what makes each one special. Each year, Travel + Leisure asks their readers to rate the places they’ve stayed recently, and thousands of readers share their opinions.
