OMNI FORT WORTH HOTEL INTRODUCES ‘COWTOWN UNPLUGGED: A SONGWRITER’S SHOWCASE,’ A NEW LIVE CONCERT SERIES FEATURING AN ALL-STAR LINE-UP

Omni Fort Worth Hotel Invites Music Lovers to Book a Stay Over Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekends to Experience Exclusive Live Concert Events Featuring Iconic Singer/Songwriters

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (April 26, 2017) – Omni Fort Worth Hotel, the largest and most authentic downtown hotel located in the heart of Fort Worth, today introduced a new live concert and luxury stay experience dubbed “Cowtown Unplugged: A Songwriter’s Showcase.” The special two-part live music getaway experience will take place Sunday, May 28 and Sunday, Sept. 3 during the Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. 

Guests who book one of three premium “Cowtown Unplugged: A Songwriter’s Showcase” guest packages will receive accommodations at the luxury hotel, dining at one of its distinctive restaurants and exclusive access to a full line-up of award-winning music favorites. Each package also includes a unique selection of services and amenities designed to give guests the ultimate fan experience – everything from in-person meet-and-greets with these legendary artists and coveted autographed keepsakes to dinner at the nationally renowned Bob’s Steak & Chop House or spa treatments at Omni’s award-winning Mokara Spa.

The first of the “Cowtown Unplugged: A Songwriter’s Showcase” series will kick off at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, May 28, during the Memorial Day weekend with a line-up featuring three of country music’s most popular singer-songwriters. Hosted by Hondo from 99.5 The Wolf’s Front Porch Show, the complete star-studded line-up includes:

• Austin Allsup, 8 – 8:45 p.m. – This Fort Worth native, who may be best known for his appearance on Blake Shelton’s team on season 11 of The Voice, has been honing his craft since 2005. Allsup’s unique style of unassuming confidence and intense passion for songwriting will be a welcome treat for Omni guests.

• Dean Dillon, 9 – 9:45 p.m. – Three-time GRAMMY Nominee Dillon has made an indelible mark on country music since joining the Music City scene in the late 1970s. He magically weaves melodies and words into masterpieces, including the 55 songs he composed or co-wrote for George Strait, resulting in 19 singles and 11 No. 1 hits, including “The Chair,” “Easy Come, Easy Go” and “Famous Last Words of a Fool.” Inducted in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002 and awarded the BMI Icon Award in 2013, Dillon will wow audiences with his catalog of well-known favorites.

• Hal Ketchum, 10 – 11 p.m. – From a cabinet maker in Gruene, Texas to a singer-songwriter with more than five million albums sold, Ketchum’s 30-year career in country music has earned him a half-dozen Top 10 hits and an induction into the Grand Ole Opry. His sophomore album, Past the Point of Rescue, was certified Gold in 1991 and spawned three Top 10 hits, including staples like “Small Town Saturday Night,” “Mama Knows the Highway” and “Hearts Are Gonna Roll.”
