Tennis At Omni Barton Creek

Channel your favorite professional player and practice your swing with one of Barton Creek Country Club’s tennis professionals. Whether a long time player or a first time enthusiast, our courts allow everyone to have a fun experience. Guests may bring their own racquet or borrow one from the pro shop. No matter the skill level, everyone could use a bit of practice or a refresh of fundamentals, which is why our Austin, TX resort offers special clinics, group lessons and private instruction for guests. The tennis pro shop is located up the left ramp at the entrance of the Clubhouse.

Monday - Thursday  8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday - Sunday  8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Court Rates & Reservations: Please call the Tennis Pro Shop to reserve a court. Guests enjoy the rate of $40/hour for each court. A ball machine is available for $50 per hour.

Private Lessons: Guests may arrange private lessons in advance. Rates start at $100 per person, per hour. Please call ext. 4008 to arrange your lesson.

Tennis Pros

Our tennis professionals offer helpful and friendly advice to players of all levels. Monte Williams is our director of sports and has worked as a USPTA certified tennis pro since 1994. He has served all over the country, but grew up in Lubbock, Texas. Before coming to Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa, he was the director of tennis at Starmount Forest Country Club in Greensboro, NC. He joined Barton Creek in 2008. Lessons Juniors: Call the pro shop for times and fees depending on age and skill level. 

Lessons

Private lessons start at $100/hour for resort guests and should be reserved by calling the Tennis Pro Shop at (512) 329-4008.

Clinics

We offer tennis clinics for a nominal fee. Please call the tennis shop to register in advance at (512) 329-4008.

1 hour clinics $45 per person, 1.5 hour clinics $50 per person

Men's Night Clinic & Doubles

Participate in drills and play singles or doubles with players of various skill levels. Utilize all the strokes, court movement and footwork patterns. Then stay after the clinic to play doubles, or occasionally singles.

Cardio Tennis

Cardio Tennis pushes your fitness to a new level with a high-energy workout! This clinic is a fun and social group activity featuring drills for players of all skill levels. This clinic includes warm-up, cardio workout and cool down phases. If you're looking for a new way to get in shape and burn calories, try Cardio Tennis.

Tennis Clinics for Men and Women

Tennis pros will drill you on all strokes, forehands, backhands and volleys, approach shots, overheads and serves. Drop-in clinics provide great instruction and a great workout at the same time.

Fundamentals Clinic

Tennis professionals will introduce you to the basic fundamentals of the tennis game. Whether you are looking to get back in the "swing" or it, or discovering tennis for the first time, FUNdamentals Clinic has a spot for you!
