DAY ONE

Morning
On your first morning, experience breakfast at Texas Spice with southern-inspired entrees and regional flavors.

After breakfast, devote some time to exploring the resort. Hike the nature trail located behind the pool deck by the miniature golf course, work on your game with a golf lesson at Barton Creek Golf Academy led by famed PGA professional instructor Brech Spradley, or take in a round of golf on one of four championship golf courses designed by golf greats Tom Fazio, Ben Crenshaw, Bill Coore, and Arnold Palmer.

Afternoon
Enjoy lunch at Jim Bob’s Lobby Lounge or Crenshaw’s Bar & Eatery overlooking the Fazio Foothills golf course and take in the beautiful Hill Country views.

After lunch, travel to South Congress Avenue for local holiday shopping at Austin favorites including Allens Boots, Parts & Labour, Cove Boutique and more. If you’re looking for handcrafted gifts, visit the Blue Genie Art Bazaar and shop artisanal holiday gifts in person or online.

Evening
Dine at an Austin original on South Congress, from Torchy’s Tacos, Hopdoddy Burger Bar and Home Slice Pizza to Perla's, there are a variety of options from casual to upscale to explore for dinner.

After dinner, enjoy a holiday performance at Austin Opera or ZACH Theatre. Advanced reservations required.

DAY TWO

Morning
Wake up early with a Texas classic, try breakfast tacos from at Texas Ham Company or Tacodeli, an Austin original serving typical breakfast tacos alongside inventive vegetarian and vegan options. These locations are just five and four miles from the resort.

Bring the whole family visiting the Thinkery, a children’s museum, providing a variety of holiday workshops for young learners to build and construct in a festive atmosphere. Advance reservations required.

Afternoon
Experience genuine Austin barbecue for lunch. Our concierge’s picks include Terry Black’s Barbecue, a unique style of Central Texas BBQ that has been passed down for generations, and County Line, serving slow-smoked barbecue and views from its outdoor terrace.

After lunch, explore the natural beauty of Austin. Travel down the road to explore the Barton Creek Greenbelt or Mount Bonnell. If the weather is frightful, stop by the front desk for detail on the day's holiday activities or burn off some steam in the resort’s game room.

Evening
Return to the resort for an upscale but relaxing dinner at Blind Salamander Kitchen & Bar, the resort’s signature restaurant that serves upscale Texas fare and fresh seafood.

Then join us on the resort lawn for our Holiday in the Hills celebration. Walk the trail of sparkling lights and snap a photo with the family. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, join us for Holiday in the Hills Snowdown to enjoy snowfall on the resort lawn while you dream of a white Christmas in Texas. Pass by the pool cabana to pick up items for glow-in-the-dark miniature golf and warm up with gingerbread treats and beverages served from the pool bar on weekends.

Cap your night off with a holiday cocktail or s’mores enjoyed by the resort’s fire pits.

DAY THREE

Morning
Start your day with breakfast at Texas Spice, or enjoy grab-and-go breakfast from Velvet Joe’s Coffee House. Then enjoy in an early morning run on the golf course’s cart path.

Indulge in a holiday-infused treatment at Mokara Spa or lounge by the adult only heated rooftop pool with a spa day pass. Reservations required.

Afternoon
Drive three miles from the resort and enjoy lunch at Canyons Grill with classic clubhouse fare and views of the Fazio Canyons driving range.

Craft brews, wines and spirits flow through the Austin Hill Country. Here are just a few options to explore this afternoon: Last Stand Brewing, Treaty Oak Distilling, Bell Springs Brewing Co. and Deep Eddy Vodka.
