WWII Weekend

September 1 & 2, 2018

During World War II, the United States Government used the Bedford Springs Hotel as a school to train naval radio operators. The facility graduated some 5,000 students. Early in 1945, the hotel was used to imprison captured Japanese diplomats posted to Germany. The hotel reopened after the war. The establishment was designated a national historical landmark in 1984—two years before it closed its doors for nearly twenty years. This September, come explore the hotel and learn of its unique place in 1940's society as reenactors, historians, films, activities, and guest presentations bring the decade to life.
