Lift-Serviced Mountain Biking

Come explore the lift-serviced downhill mountain biking trails at Bretton Woods! Trail passes can be purchased for 2-hour, half-day or full-day increments. Mountain biking enthusiasts can purchase a season pass for unlimited access during normal operating hours. Bretton Woods does not rent mountain bikes for the Alpine Trail System. Mountain Scooters are available for rent or guests may bring their own full-suspension bike. Full-suspension bikes or a Mountain Scooter, helmets and trail passes are required before proceeding to any lift-serviced terrain. Armor protection is encouraged.

2018 Bretton Woods Mountain Biking Season Pass

Purchase a season pass this summer and enjoy unlimited access to lift-serviced mountain biking, Bretton Woods Valley Trail System and Fabyan Fields trails for $99! Make this the summer to explore the trails. There are no blackout dates and trails are typically open daily during normal operating hours as conditions warrant. Lift serviced mountain biking trails are available daily from June 16 - September 3 and weekends only from September 8 - October 9.

Cross-Country Biking at Bretton Woods

Ride through single and double track trails as you explore our expansive trail networks at the base of New Hampshire's majestic Mt. Washington. Trail passes are required. Front suspension mountain bikes and fat-tire bikes are available to rent for your cross-country adventure.

NEW! Pump Track Skill Development

Riding a pump track helps riders of all abilities develop and hone essential 'real-world' mountain biking skills such as:

  • Riding berms and cornering skills
  • Using terrain to maintain and / or gain speed
  • Looking ahead when riding instead of where you are riding
  • Advanced, playful bike handling skills and line selection
  • And it will give you an intense full-body workout

Trail passes are available at the Adventure Center Desk at the Bretton Woods Base Lodge and the Stone Pillar Lodge, adjacent to the Golf Clubhouse.

Cross-Country Mountain Bike Rentals

Mount Washington Resort offers front-suspension mountain bikes and fat-tire bikes for adults and children. Rental mountain bikes are available at the Stone Pillar Lodge and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Cross-country mountain bikes that are rented through Mount Washington Resort are limited to use on our Valley Trail System and at Fabyans Fields. They are not permitted for downhill or permitted for lift-serviced mountain biking on the Alpine Trail System at Bretton Woods.

MOUNTAIN SCOOTER RENTALS

Omni Mount Washington Resort offers mountain scooters for our lift-serviced Alpine Trail System. Experienced riders can weave their way down a series of trails designed with twists, turns and natural features to make for a fun and exhilarating ride down. This heavy-duty scooter has a wide platform for your feet, knobby tires and hand brakes. Mountain Scooter rentals are available at the Adventure Center located at the Bretton Woods Base Lodge.
