The historic Shubert Theater is located two blocks away from the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale and features many large Broadway productions. The "Birthplace of the Nation's Greatest Hits” was built in 1914 for the live theater experience. Now, the new, large lobby, comfortable theater seats and a state-of-the-art sound system make for a true Broadway house feel. Situated just down the block from Yale University and the New Haven Green, the Shubert Theater is surrounded by the city's best restaurants, cafes, shops and world-class museums.
