The Terrace Room offers an incomparable ambiance and memorable menu. From the moment you arrive, you will be captivated by the beauty of original molded plaster ceiling, sweeping mahogany arches and the striking back wall mural titled “The Taking of Fort Pitt.” The restaurant opened on March 9, 1916, as “The Italian Terrace.” Photographs adorn the walls allowing you to revisit the rich history of this bespoke room. A Pittsburgh legend, the Terrace Room offers breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinner and Sunday brunch. Come discover a dining experience that matters and a focus on fresh, local favorites.

At dinner, Southern Italian fare is paired with a thoughtfully curated collection of small batch vintages from family-owned vineyards. From Piedmont to Puglia...even Sardinia and Sicily. Enjoy the inviting complexity of Brunello di Montalcino, Super Tuscans and our “must try” Barolo from a husband-and-wife team.
