The Virginia Wine Experience
Long recognized for outstanding culinary offerings, The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa features the Virginia Wine Experience. Located near the resort’s grand Dining Room, the Virginia Wine Experience focuses solely on the wines of the Commonwealth, showcasing the history of winegrowing in Virginia from the founding of Jamestown in 1607 through today.
Here, guests can select from distinct wine flights or wines by the glass at the Tasting Parlor, with bottles available for purchase. Each month, a prominent Virginia winery is profiled, and guests have the opportunity to meet with the winery owner/vintner and enjoy an exclusive, private dinner which will be complemented with wines from the featured winery.
The Virginia Wine Experience offers ongoing special events, educational seminars, and tastings of some of Virginia’s most limited and unique wines.
The Tasting Parlor Enjoy our thoughtfully curated white wine, red wine, reserve wines and unique and interesting wines. Each flight includes a tasting of five wines. Enhance your experience with our cheese and charcuterie board. Reservations are not required.

June's Featured Winery: Benziger Family Winery ‘24 Benziger Sauvignon Blanc | Fresh and elegant, our Sauvignon Blanc invites you in with aromas of bright apple, fresh grass, pineapple, and melon. Enticing citrus flavors are followed by complex minerality. The wine’s acid is both balanced and integrated, giving it a textured midpalate and an elegant softness.‘23 Benziger Running Wild Chardonnay | The 2023 Benziger Running Wild Chardonnay balances a creamy Chardonnay style with energetic acidity. Prior to harvest, the grapes from our Paicines AVA vineyards in San Benito County soak up the warm daytime sunshine to develop alluring aromas of ripe pear, honeysuckle, green apple, and zesty citrus rind, before the cooling afternoon breeze helps maintain the grapes’ natural, lively acidity. The grapes are handpicked at peak ripeness, during the cool evening hours, to preserve those essential acid levels.‘23 Benziger Pinot Noir | In the glass, bright strawberry & cranberry mix with hints of plum & baking spices. Fresh fruit flavors are inviting & complex with a touch of spice and earthy notes on the finish. Silky tannins and balanced acids combine seamlessly to produce a luxurious mouthfeel.‘23 Benziger Cabernet Sauvignon | Blended from premier central coast vineyards, our Cabernet Sauvignon is polished and approachable. Elegant,juicy flavors of berry cobbler followed by mocha and wood spice unite, layer by layer to form a rich full-bodied wine with chalky, round tannins and a long finish. We suggest pairing with a rib eye with peppercorn sauce, or other heartier dishes and savory meats.
