Sepp Kober emigrated from Austria in 1957 and became known as the "Father of Southern Skiing." Under the mentorship of Sepp Ruschp he brought his talents to the southeast. He eventually pushed his skills further south to The Homestead where he became the director of skiing and winter sports. For 40 years Kober helped develop ski resorts across the region causing the sport to boom.

Kober's at The Mountain Lodge is our signature winter smokehouse restaurant designed to reflect Sepp Kober's zest for life with bold BBQ flavors crafted daily. The menu is composed of slow-smoked, freshly-prepared dishes and classic Southern sides along with a selection of bourbons, beers and wines; Kober's is an enjoyable experience in a casual, family-friendly environment.

Payment for all resort charges, such as dining, shop purchases and activity fees, will be to your guest room folio or credit card. The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa's restaurants, bars, retail shops and amenities will no longer accept cash.
