A year-long celebration of golf, family and competition, The Generation Cup is a first-of-its-kind tournament that offers golfers across the country a family-focused event series for players of all ages and skill levels. Joining forces with the PGA of America, The Generation Cup aims to grow the game by bringing together golfers of all generations.

Registration Information:

During the Omni Generation Cup, qualifiers are hosted at each Omni Golf destination, for a total of 12 events across the country. At each qualifier, teams of two will compete to advance to the National Championship.

For the first time ever, participation is open to both resort guests and local players. No overnight stay or membership is required to compete. However, entries wil be prioritized for Omni Club Members and participants with confirmed room reservations. All other entries will be accepted on a space-available basis and will be confirmed or declined no later than one week prior to the event. Early registration is strongly recommended, as this limited-field event is expected to fill quickly.

Who can participate? Anyone within your family that is part of a generation. Two-person teams can compete in one of three divisions:

  • Grandparent & Grandchild*
  • Parent & Child or Aunt/Uncle & Niece/Nephew*
  • PGA Professional & Generational Family Member*

The event format is a two-person modified best ball scramble. The top gross and net teams from each division will advance to the National Championship.

The cost to participate in a qualifying event is $250/team for Omni club members and PGA Professionals and $350/team for all other entrants.

*USGA handicap required.

Accommodations

While an overnight stay is not required to participate, special room rates are available for Generation Cup players and guests who wish to extend the experience with a resort stay.
